“Fear is a Liar” by Amy Hirsh

Fear is a Liar

Fear says, “You’re finished.”
Love says, “This is a new beginning.”

Fear says, “You’ll never recover from this.”
Love says, “You will be satisfied with a full life and a prosperous future.”

Fear tells us, “Give up and give in.”
Love says, “You are stronger than you know, get up once more. I’ll be with you.”

Fear says, “Things are really bad.”
Love says, “I will greatly protect you and shield you from harm. I will be your glorious hero.”

Fear says, “I’ll never be enough.”
Love says, “Well done my good and faithful servant. I am well pleased.”

Fear says, “This is impossible.”
Love says, “ANYTHING is possible through me.”

Fear says, “I’m losing everything.”
Love says, “You have all you need. In fact, I’m preparing you a feast.”

Fear says, “Despair is coming for you.”
Love says, “I’m replacing your mourning with gladness.”

Fear says, “I don’t understand.”
Love says, “There are depths of purpose and layers of meaning in everything I do. Trust me.”

Fear says, “I’ve been knocked down low.”
Love says, “I will set you in a high place, safe and secure before my face.”
